Does the Tardis Have a Carbon Footprint Competition
We are launching a new and exciting competition for all young people under the age of 25 years - ‘ Last Night the World Spoke to me…’
Children know this is what the world might be saying to them if it could:
‘When I go for a spin. I’m out of breath –
I’m puffing and huffing and wheezing.
And my polar ice caps are starting to melt,
When I know they should be freezing.
This verse was written by a talented young poet, Rachel Garrett when she was just 11 years old. Her eight-year-old brother, Ethan also wrote poems about the importance of taking care of the environment and in 2009 Seven Arches Published their book: ‘Does The Tardis have a Carbon Footprint?’
At that time not many people were interested in what was happening to the oceans, forests and climate around the world. Greta Thunberg was only six-years old. But now, just ten years later we all know of the importance of taking care of our world.
You can help us make a wonderful new collection of poems aimed at saving the planet and its beautiful flora and fauna by taking part in our competition.

You must order at least one copy of ‘Does The Tardis have a Carbon Footprint?’ from our website. It has a page at the back that will help younger children and their parents have a go at writing a poem.
We are offering this book at a special price of just £1.50. Postage and packing are £2.50. That means for just £4.00 you have a copy of ‘Does the Tardis have a Carbon Footprint and can enter as many of your children’s poems as you like.
